If you haven’t been paying attention to the internet the past couple of days then let me fill you in. This weekend is San Diego Comic-con and it is its 50th anniversary. Like all milestone anniversaries big things happen. This year is no exception when it comes to every announcement that has been so far released at SDCC on the Marvel Side.
– Blade is getting a remake and is staring Mahershala Ali (who already plays a MCU character in the Luke Cage series as Cottonmouth)
–Thor: Love and Thunder was also announced with 2 major announcements for said movie. The first of which was Natalie Portman reprising her role as Jane Foster and it was mentioned that she will be taking on the mantle of Thor. The second is the character of Valkyrie (played by the amazing Tessa Thompson) will be the first LGBTQ hero in the MCU.
–Eternals has indeed been confirmed it is still in the works. They are aiming for a November 6, 2020 release.
–Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was also announced with the premise of the multiverse. This could lead to seeing old characters that are long gone in the current universe being brought back in another.
–Black Widow was given a confirmed release date of May 1, 2020 and will take place between Civil War and Infinity War.
-Several tv series were announced such as: Loki, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, and Wanda Vision.
–Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Rings staring Simu Liu
–Marvel What If…? is a animated series that will be shown alternate scenarios that might have happened in the current MCU timeline. Actors Chris Evans and Haley Atwell will be lending their voices to play characters.
–The Fantastic Four has been confirmed they will be coming to the MCU since the Disney acquisition of Fox.
–X-Men have also been confirmed to be coming to the MCU.
